Jaldhaara Foundation actively pursues partnerships to bring clean water and adequate sanitation to underserved communities in India and Africa. This model of engaging in partnerships enables us to bring critical sector expertise to the field, while managing the operations seamlessly with the human developmental objectives in mind.
Safe Water Solutions Partner
Jaldhaara Foundation has identified WaterHealth as its technical partner for installation, operation and maintenance of water purification plants in the locations identified as water-stressed.
WaterHealth India is a wholly owned subsidiary of US-based WaterHealth International and a pioneer in the Community Water Systems industry. WaterHealth brings its expertise in installation, operation and maintenance of water purification plants to rural areas that do not have access to safe drinking water.
This is possible through the installation of decentralized community water systems known as WaterHealth Centres.
WaterHealth Centres can typically serve a community of population ranging from 5,000 to 20,000. Jaldhaara raises the funds to procure and install the water purification plant based on a Build Operate Transfer (BOT) agreement signed with the Local Government Agency, i.e. Panchayat or Municipality, with a concession term spanning 20-25 years.
Smart Toilets and Sanitation Partner
The sanitation and hygiene crisis cannot be tackled in isolation with the issue of open defecation worldwide. A sustainable and smart approach to installing and deploying toilets has to be implemented. Jaldhaara has identified SnapEX as its technical partner for supply, installation and commissioning of toilet units. SnapEX has launched a product range of Portable Smart Bio-Toilets named as GARV manufactured from Stainless Steel/Galvanised Steel. Garv toilets offer tough modular structures. SnapEX has a maintenance model ton an AMC basis to ensure that the toilets are a complete solution and not a sanitary problem themselves.
GARV Toilets are eco-friendly and self-sustainable in terms of energy-usage and waste disposal. Smart toilets (GPRS equipped) are remotely monitored through RFID-IoT powered dashboard for real-time updates of various usage parameters and malfunctioning equipment.
